Technology tool wikispaces can bring life into a dull pencil pen classroom!!!

The technology tool that I chose is wikispaces. This tool for educators lets both teachers and students work collaboratively on classroom projects.  For example, in my high school social studies classroom, I could have students work in groups on wikispaces to create/share imformation on history topics. Wikispaces also is fun because students can assign avatars to represent themselves online.  My students want to express themselves other than paper and pencil responses - they want a fun collaborative space. Since wiki encourages writing, it satisfies literacy skills too.   My students need literacy skills because they are entering the workforce.  Wiki helps teachers track students writing online and make comments. Which students can access anytime as well - no more the dog ate mu homework!
